Construction of a 7-story hotel conversion & 3-story vertical expansion. Fast track project made more difficult due to location of site on very busy midtown street. There were two existing elevators, and scope called for removal of one elevator while increasing vertical travel of the other. This created increased difficulty for loading materials as well as project safety. The abandoned elevator shaft was re-used as the main riser shaft for all electric and HVAC services.
