Hudson Meridian was the Construction Manager to launch an extensive gut rehabilitation of this five building, 500-unit, occupied complex. The work included the installation of new high-tech heating plants, insulated windows and doors, and upgraded plumbing and electrical systems.
Other interior improvements included:
- Complete gut renovation of the units
- Installation of a new telephone system
- New bathroom and kitchen fixtures and appliances
- New floor and wall tile as well as ceiling finishes in common hallways
- Trash room and elevator upgrade
- Each building received a redesigned lobby with mailroom
and
a security office
Exterior building improvements included:
- New roofs
- Landscaping
- Site lighting
- Play area
- New entrance façades and storefronts
- Parking areas
- Handicap accessible ramps and sidewalks
- Working architectural clock tower.
The complex is protected by security guards and a new indoor and outdoor camera monitoring system. Through intricate planning and phasing, the work was performed while maintaining current tenant occupancy. This project included a local community and resident participation, apprentice program
that was managed by our staff.
