The eco-luxe hotel will soft-open on February 12

Move-ins are on at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s oft-debated Pierhouse condo—and now the building’s luxury hotel is following suit. 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge will unlock its doors for a soft opening on February 12, three days earlier than anticipated. In the lead up to that, the brand has released a handful of images of the new eco-luxe digs that show off the guest rooms by INC Architecture & Design.

INC designed the rooms with an eye towards “the contemporary identity and brand of Brooklyn” and “the historic, hardworking, shipping roots of the Brooklyn waterfront” that manifests in materials like rope and the “bleached aged wood of piers.” This, according to a press release. So what all does that mean? Crates, palettes, and moving blankets—yes, moving blankets—were repurposed for decoration, and plant species indigenous to the area were planted in the park leading up to the hotel.

The hotel’s website says the earliest availability for one of the 194 eco-luxe accomodations as February 16, with available rooms currently starting at $300 including a 30 percent discount for pre-booking online for a 300-square-foot room with a king-sized bed. Rooms with views towards the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline start at a slightly less-modest $330, including the same discounts.
